The Freedom Rock came from Ray Bina and his family in Howard County and after
being moved from the farm now sits at the intersection of Protivin Road and Highway
9 in Cresco.  The project was a joint effort by all the towns in the county and was
dedicated on June 23, 2018 with a huge crowd on hand.  Special Guests included
"The Oak Ridge Boys" who sang the National Anthem
Many area veterans (above) lined the sidewalk in front displaying various flags,
while many other folks (below) came from all over the county and other places for
the dedication.
9 Flags in all were raised during the dedication

It took a County and Beyond to make "The
Freedom Rock"
a reality, but 2 of the folks
who provided some great leadership to
make it happen were
Cindy Yslas, US Air
